Port Monmouth Dunes May 25, 2010

Wrap around swell, all 6 inches of it!

Highest dunes on the bay are here, (I think)

Dunes took quite a beating over the winter of 2009-2010

Here's where all the dune sand ended up.

The Bank Swallows took advantage of the steep dunes, however.

Not sure if this is an old sea bed or not.

Here's a closeup, don't see any ancient shells or marine fossils.

Anybody have any thoughts on the old layers?
